 I told you a story on how I recieved 4 guitar donationas in 2 days and 3 of them came from a gentalman named Bill. 

I was especially excited to see a nylon-string guitar, because I’ve been hoping to find one for a gentleman who lives at one of the assisted-living facilities where I perform for free through my non profit the Spirit of Music Founadation.

Bill pointed out that his name was carved into the headstock of the guitar.

I said, “That’s perfect... because his name is Bill too!” 

We both laughed, and I told him that when I deliver it, I’ll take a picture of the new Bill with the guitar. Well here is the new new Bill receiving his free guitar through the Spirit of Music Foundation. He kept saying is this a dream!! I was so excited to give it to him along with a gutar case, new strings, guitar pics, a tuner, a capop, etc.

 The other day I played a show at Sarasota Health and Rehab Center in the Memory Care section through our non-profit, the Spirit of Music Foundation. I perform there once a month, and usually I’ll see residents tapping their feet, clapping along, or waving their arms to the music. But this visit was different.

A lot of times the nurses will come in and gently dance with the residents by holding their arms and swaying to the music. But this time… people started popping out of their wheelchairs and dancing on their own!!

It was absolutely amazing to see and so much fun. Once that energy started, I kept the dance music going for 45 minutes straight! The room came alive with smiles, laughter, movement, and joy. It was one of those beautiful reminders of just how powerful music can truly be.

Moments like these are exactly why we created the Spirit of Music Foundation.

Over the past few years, Spirit of Music Foundation has been grateful to share a special holiday tradition. Thanks to a generous donation from Wolff Construction, we were able to distribute teddy bears during the holiday season to the men and womenwe pertform for. What began as a wonderful surprise turned into a truly heartwarming experience, as the bears were received with genuine joy and appreciation.

Moments like these remind us how powerful community support can be. We are deeply thankful for partners like Wolff Construction and for everyone in our community who helps us bring comfort, kindness, and uplifting moments to those who need them most.

We are a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization dedicated towards providing the Healing Power of Music to everyone who can use a life lift. We also collect musical instruments to donate to inspire  future musicians. Congratulations to Kayla!  She is the recipient of the latest instrument give away and here is why:  Kayla spent years taking violin lessons all the way to the point of reaching First Chair position by her Senior year of High School.  At the end of the school year, a

student broke her Violin leaving it in an unfixable state.  Her family was unable to afford replacing her violin so Kayla thought she would have to leave her musical dreams behind.  With our donated instrument, Kayla is now able to pick up where she left off and make her dreams come true.
